Over the past few years, these podcasts have really helped me grow spiritually, and hopefully, they would do the same for you. Here are 7 Christian podcasts to grow your faith in 2020 and beyond.
1. Ask Pastor John
Listen to the Ask Pastor John podcast if you are looking for biblically sound answers to personal questions. Questions range from matters of practical Christian living to theological. John Piper’s 33 years of pastoral experience is evident in his podcast as he answers tough and provoking questions in a clear, careful, compassionate, and biblically faithful manner. Pastor John Piper is well known for his quote, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him.
2. Renewing Your Mind With R.C. Sproul
We know that God uses his Word to change lives. In Romans 12:2, Paul tells Christians to “be transformed by the renewal of your mind.” This is the expressed aim of the Renewing Your Mind Podcast. In this podcast, you can access in-depth Bible teaching on life-changing truths of historic/classic Christianity. Renewing Your Mind was created by the late Dr. R.C. Sproul and is now continued by fellow Theologians.
3. Simply Put Podcast
Have you ever wished that someone would explain theology in a way that doesn’t require a degree or a dictionary? Well, this podcast, as its name suggests, sheds light on different biblical or theological terms, using helpful illustrations to apply to it to your life. Listen to host Barry Cooper every week to expand your understanding and deepen your faith in Christ, one Word at a time.
4. Reasonable Faith Podcast
If you are looking for an intelligent, articulate, and uncompromising yet gracious Christian perspective on the most critical issues concerning the truth of Christianity today, then consider this podcast. Reasonable faith is a conversational program dealing with the most important apologetic questions of our day.
William Lan Craig is the host/presenter of this podcast. He is a research professor of Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology and Professor of Philosophy at Houston Baptist University.
5 Minutes in Church History
If you’re into Church history like me, then this podcast satiates that appetite with short, interesting nuggets of historical information. “5 Minutes in Church History”, hosted by Dr. Stephen Nichols, is a weekly podcast that provides an informal and informative look at church history.
6. The Cold-Case Christianity
J. Warner Wallace hosts the Cold-Case Christianity Podcast. J. Warner is an American cold-case homicide detective and Christian apologist. This podcast explores the evidence for God’s existence, the Bible’s reliability, and the truth of the Christian worldview.
7. The Briefing with Albert Mohler
“The Briefing” is a daily analysis of news and events from a Christian worldview. Dr. R. Albert Mohler Jr. is the host of this program. He is an American historical theologian and president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
